The information we collect about you

We are the data controller for the information described below. We collect it directly from you, from your use of the site, and from the partners who help us confirm your details.

Account and contact details

When you register we ask for your name, date of birth, residential address, e-mail address, telephone number and the currency you wish to play in. You also create login credentials and the security details used to recover access. We keep a record of changes you make in your account settings.

Identity and verification documents

Before you withdraw, and at other points while your account is open, we must confirm who you are and that you are old enough to play. We therefore collect copies of identity documents, proof of address, proof that a payment method belongs to you and, where relevant, evidence of the source of your funds. We keep the outcome of each check and the notes our team makes while completing it.

Payments and play

We hold records of deposits, withdrawals, bonuses, wagers, balances and the payment methods registered to your account. Card and bank details are handled by the payment providers shown in the cashier, and we receive only the limited information needed to match a transaction to your account.

Safer gambling settings

We record the deposit limits, loss limits, session reminders, time-outs and self-exclusions you set, together with the activity monitoring we carry out to spot signs of harm.

Device and usage data

When you use the site we record technical data such as your IP address, approximate location, device type, operating system, browser, the pages you open, the games you launch and the times you log in. We also keep records of your contact with us, including live chat transcripts and e-mails to our support address.

Cookies

Our site and the games on it use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember your settings and understand how the site is used. Essential cookies are needed for the site to work; non-essential cookies can be managed through the controls we provide and in your browser. Our Cookie Policy lists the categories we use and how long each one lasts.

Why we use your information

We use your personal data for the following purposes, and we do not use it for unrelated ones without telling you first:

  1. To open, run and close your account, including processing deposits, withdrawals, bonuses and the games you play.
  2. To confirm that you are at least 18 and that the identity details you have given us are correct.
  3. To prevent, detect and look into fraud, collusion, bonus abuse, chargebacks and the misuse of payment methods.
  4. To meet our duties on anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing, including monitoring and record-keeping.
  5. To comply with the conditions of the gaming licence we hold, including reporting duties and responses to lawful requests.
  6. To support safer gambling, by applying the limits shown in your account, acting on time-outs and self-exclusions, and contacting you if your play suggests you may be at risk.
  7. To answer your questions, handle disputes and keep a record of what was agreed.
  8. To keep the site secure, fix faults and improve how our pages and games perform.
  9. To send offers and news by e-mail, SMS or push message where you have opted in, and to tailor those offers to the games you play.

We do not sell your personal data. Where we use automated checks, for example in fraud screening, a member of our team looks at the outcome before we take a decision that materially affects your account.

Who we share your information with

We share data only where it is needed for the purposes above. The categories of recipient are:

  • Payment providers and banks, so that deposits and withdrawals can be processed through the methods shown in the cashier.
  • Identity-verification, age-verification and credit reference partners, who check the details you give us against their records.
  • Fraud-prevention and anti-money laundering partners, including shared databases used to flag risk across the industry.
  • Game suppliers and platform providers, who need limited account data to deliver the games and keep a record of each round.
  • Technology suppliers who host our systems, send our messages and run our live chat and support tools.
  • Regulatory bodies, tax authorities, the police and other public bodies, where the law or our licence requires disclosure.
  • Professional advisers, such as auditors and lawyers, who are bound by duties of confidence.

Everyone acting on our instructions works under a written agreement and may use your data only for the purpose we set. If data is transferred outside the UK, we put a lawful safeguard in place, such as approved contract terms together with checks on the protections available in the receiving country.

How long we keep your information

We keep your account data for as long as your account is open. After it closes we keep what we are required to keep for the period set by the law that applies to us, chiefly the rules on gambling records, anti-money laundering, tax and the time limits for bringing a legal claim. We do not state fixed periods here because they change with the law; the retention schedule we work to is available on request.

If you self-exclude, we keep the record for at least as long as the exclusion runs, and long enough afterwards to honour it and to block any new registration attempt. Marketing records are kept until you opt out, and for a short period after that so we can show we acted on your choice.

Data we no longer need is deleted or anonymised so that it can no longer be linked to you. Closing your account does not remove records we are obliged to retain.

Your rights and how to use them

You have the following rights over your personal data:

  1. Access: ask for a copy of the data we hold about you and the reasons we use it.
  2. Correction: have inaccurate or incomplete details put right.
  3. Erasure: ask us to delete data we no longer have a reason to keep. We cannot erase records we must retain by law or that support a self-exclusion.
  4. Restriction: ask us to pause our use of your data while a question about it is being looked into.
  5. Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interests, and stop direct marketing at any time.
  6. Portability: receive the data you gave us in a commonly used electronic format.
  7. Withdrawing consent: turn marketing off in your account settings or by replying to any message, with no effect on your play.
  8. Human involvement: ask for a person to look at a decision reached by automated means.

To use any of these rights, write to support@casino-mrben.co.uk from the e-mail address registered to your account, or start a live chat on the site and ask for our data protection team. Tell us what you want and give us enough detail to find your records. We may ask you to confirm your identity so that we do not disclose your data to someone else, and we reply within the time allowed by law, telling you if we need longer.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, write to the same address and we will look into it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK supervisory authority for data protection, at any time.
