What cookies are and why we use them

A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device when you visit. It lets the site recognise your browser on later pages or later visits and remember a limited amount of information, such as the fact that you are signed in or the language you chose. We also use similar technologies that work in the same way, including local storage and pixels; where this policy says cookies, it covers those as well.

We use cookies for four broad reasons: to make the site work and keep your account secure, to understand how the site is used so we can fix problems, to remember your settings, and to measure our advertising. Some cookies are set by us and others by the suppliers who provide parts of our service, such as payment processing, game content, fraud prevention and analytics, and those suppliers act under contract with us.

Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay on your device until they expire or you delete them. The lifespan of each cookie we set is listed in the cookie notice on the site.

The categories of cookies we use

The cookie notice groups cookies into the four categories below. Every category apart from the strictly necessary one can be accepted or declined.

Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are needed for the site to function and cannot be switched off. They are set in response to what you do, such as signing in, moving between pages or placing a stake.

  • Keeping you signed in as you move between the lobby, a game and the cashier.
  • Holding a deposit or withdrawal request while it is being completed.
  • Security and fraud prevention, including spotting unusual sign-in attempts and supporting the checks we carry out on accounts.

Performance and analytics cookies

These cookies show us how the site is used, in aggregate. We use that picture to find pages that load slowly, errors in a payment journey and steps where players commonly give up.

  • Counting visits and page views, and noting which pages are used most.
  • Recording error messages and the route taken before one appeared.

Functionality cookies

These cookies remember choices you make, so you do not have to set them again.

  • Your language, display preferences and whether game sound is on or off.
  • Whether you have already dismissed a notice or completed a step in a form.

Marketing cookies

These cookies measure how our advertising performs and, where you have agreed, help make the advertising you see elsewhere more relevant. They may be set by us or by advertising partners and can record which pages you looked at here. Declining this category stops that use.

How to manage cookies in our notice and in your browser

You can change your choices at any time, using either of two controls.

In the cookie notice on the site

When you first arrive, the notice lets you accept all cookies, decline the optional categories, or choose category by category. Your choice is saved and applied on later visits, and you can reopen the notice from the cookie settings control in the footer of any page to change or withdraw it. Withdrawing consent stops further use but does not remove cookies already stored, so clear them in your browser if you want them gone.

In your browser

Every current browser lets you see the cookies stored on your device, delete them and block new ones. The controls usually sit under a heading such as Privacy, Security or Site settings, and let you:

  • Delete all cookies, or only those set by a particular site.
  • Block all cookies, or block third-party cookies only.
  • Clear cookies automatically each time you close the browser.
  • Browse in a private window, which discards cookies at the end of the session.

Cookies are stored per browser, so set your preferences on each browser and device you use. Mobile operating systems also offer a setting that limits the advertising identifier used by apps.

What happens if you block or delete cookies

Optional categories can be declined without stopping you using the site, though some things will work less smoothly. Strictly necessary cookies are different: if your browser blocks all cookies, parts of the site will not work at all.

  • You may be unable to sign in, or you may be signed out when you move between pages.
  • A deposit or withdrawal may not complete, because the cashier cannot follow the request.
  • Preferences such as language or sound reset on every visit.
  • Some games may fail to load or may lose a session already running.

Deleting cookies also deletes the record of your cookie choices, so the notice will appear again on your next visit.

Cookies, your account and safer gambling

Our site is for adults aged 18 or over. We hold a gaming licence and verify the identity and age of every customer, and some strictly necessary cookies support those checks by tying a session to the right account and flagging unusual activity.

Safer gambling tools do not rely on cookies. Deposit limits, session reminders, time-outs and self-exclusion are set in your account, apply on every device you sign in from, and stay in force if you clear your browser.

Free, confidential help is available from GambleAware, GamCare and the National Gambling Helpline. GamStop lets you exclude yourself from online gambling sites licensed in Great Britain; that exclusion works at account level, so clearing cookies has no effect on it.

How to reach us about cookies

If you have a question about this policy, want details of a particular cookie, or wish to exercise your data protection rights, write to us at support@casino-mrben.co.uk or use the live chat on the site. Data protection queries can also go to privacy@casino-mrben.co.uk.

Telling us the device and browser you use, and the name of the cookie if you know it, helps us answer precisely. We reply within the periods set out in our Privacy Policy.

We update this policy when the technologies we use change or when the law requires it. The version on this page is the current one, and the date of the latest change is shown with the cookie notice.
